During two weeks, students will get into the French agricultural system, research, education and extension systems through lectures by Professors of AgroParisTech and high level speakers from the political, institutional and business world. Students and professors from Penn State University will attend the summer university.
Among others, raised topics are French agricultural policy (positions towards CAP, WTO), animal welfare, food quality & quality labels, overview of the French food industry, GMO and seed production, sensory perception ...
As well as classes, site visits like the Champagne vineyards, Wine High School, Versailles Kitchen Gardens, European biggest wholesale food Market at Rungis (www.visiterungis.com), and Organic Farm are organised.
