EIT (Institute of European Innovation & Technology) is European body funded by Horizon 2020, with the aim to strengthen cooperation between education, research and business (knowledge triangle) in the order to boost innovation and entrepreneurship and enhance EU global competitiveness.
According to its Strategic Innovation Agenda, the EIT supports Knowledge and Innovation Communities (KIC), set up as independent legal entities and and addressing different sectors : Energy, Climate change, ICT, Health, Raw materials and Food.
KIC are sustainable and integrated partnerships which implement projects of initial and lifelong training, entrepreneurship and innovation support.
AgroParisTech is an affiliate partner of Climate-KIC since its launch in 2010.
Climate-KIC covers 4 themes within the field of climate change mitigation and adaptation :
- Urban Transitions
- Sustainable Land Use
- Sustainable Production Systems
- Decision Metrics and Finance
AgroParisTech takes part to different activities :
