The International Workshops on Molecular Gastronomy were created by Professors Nicholas Kurti (Oxford, UK) and Hervé This (INRA Paris, France) in 1992.
For about ten years, they were kindly hosted by the Ettore Majorana Centre for Scientific Culture, in Erice, Sicily, under the direction of H. This and N Kuri (with the kind collaboration of some invited diectors).
After N. Kurti death in 1998, they were organized by H. This alone. .
Since 2014, they are organized in Paris by the AgroParisTech-Inra International Centre for Molecular Gastronomy
