Postdoctoral position in Statistics/Applied Mathematics for Nutrition (Paris, FRANCE)
Descriptive & predictive analysis of food consumption patterns and dynamics
The Physiology of Nutrition and Eating Behaviour Laboratory (AgroParisTech/INRA, based in Paris, France) is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Fellow :
//Mission
• Developing methods to identify and characterize food associations and substitutions in transversal and longitudinal diet records
• Developing methods to predict potential changes in food consumption (such as alternative food choices), combining diet records and semi-quantitative data in sociology/psychology/behavioral sciences
• Testing & applying these methods in different population contexts
• Creating and managing an expertise network on the topic
//Qualifications
• Minimum requirements include
• A PhD in Applied Mathematics or Statistics
• Excellent quantitative and applied research skills in methodology development and data analysis
• Experience in nutrition or with dietary data, dealing with qualitative data, and working in multidisciplinary environment is preferred
• Strong oral and written communication skills + networking skills
//Context
• The fellow will work in collaboration with researchers from UMR AgroParisTech/INRA 914 and from the Global Nutrition Department of Danone Nutricia Research
• He will also develop partnerships and collaborations with other laboratory with an expertise in applied mathematics
• The position will be open on Jan 1st 2016. The initial appointment is for 24 months with possible renewal for min. 1 year subject to performance and funding availability
