Change-Point Detection Methods and Applications

Paris, 11-12 of September 2008

This workshop will take place at the AgroParisTech (Paris)

This workshop is dedicated to statistical methods for segmentation and their applications. Segmentation methods aim at identifying abrupt changes in the structure of the data. They are used in many various application fields such as biology, physics, medicine,.... and their increasing use leads to new problems which require the development of appropriate statistical models and efficient algorithms. This workshop aims at presenting a spectrum of the different existing approaches and their applications.
The subject of interest are the following : change-point problems, penalized minimum contrast estimatation, Bayesian methods, model selection, segmentation algorithms, sequential procedures...

This is a free workshop and no registration is required. The workshop is organized with 9 invited speakers who will give a one-hour talk.
